Spin Classes are a fun and intense exercise! Being prepared will help keep it that way:) -*Please be sure to eat a meal between 30-60 minutes before class* A meal of protein and vegetables are recommended (Pasta and sauces, heavy bread, and chilli are not). Try to save your starch for after class (some body types are different, these are only recommendations). -bring a water bottle... you are going to need it! We have a water cooler so you can fill it up when you arrive. -bring indoor exercise runners. No outdoor shoes are allowed in the studio:) shoes with a good sole and support are recommended (no barefoot-style shoes). -wearing breathable exercise clothing (shorts) is recommended* -bringing a recovery drink (protein+carbohydrate) is recommended for the first class...just in case! -if you have a heart-rate monitor/watch, bring it! Our bike consoles are compatible with most Polar bands. -Please come in ahead to set your bike/heart-rate monitor, the instructor will be too busy setting up and instructing to help:) -If there is a personal training session in progress, feel free to set up and begin your warm-up. Your Instructor will be with you shortly:) -Our consoles are compatible with most USB devices to record your progress.

*We want everyone new with us to feel right at home. For this reason, bikes cannot be reserved. We have a filing system in the Studio, where you can file a card of your bike measurements. You will always have your preferred adjustments for future reference.
What to expect:
Your instructor will guide you through the workout, telling you when to increase or lower resistance, pedal faster, and rise or sit. You'll be guided through climbs, sprints, jumps, and muscle isolations with intermittent lower-resistance pedaling during cruising periods. There's high-energy music with a great beat that keeps you moving for the entire class, and you'll sweat — a lot. Remember that you are ultimately in control. If you need to alter the intensity to make it through the class, go ahead and decrease the tension. As time goes on, you'll be sure to build up your strength and endurance! When you do not feel the same level of difficulty, remember you are in control! You can up the intensity any time. In fact--it will be cheered on!

*Please know that when you are booked in for a class, the spot is yours. If anything comes up, please feel free to find a sub for that class or someone to take your place for the weeks you are committed to (the person will pay you, but they can bring the money for you in an envelope to leave at the studio).
